HOW IT ALL BEGAN
In 1998, while pursuing a business venture to acquire government largest intercity public passenger and cargo transport company (STC), James Owusu- Bonsu (JOB), found himself come under serious spiritual attacks.
By the Grace of God, the plot of the enemy was exposed at an all night prayer vigil in Kumasi, about 534 kilometers away from Accra the capital, where he resides. Job was not at the prayer meeting, neither did he know the Prophet whom God used to expose the plot of the enemy. There was however a lady who knew JOB and it was this lady Gladys that the spirit of God used as a point of contact for the entire church to pray to address the problem through prayers.
Within the same period October-December 1998, there was confirmation of the planned death plot by two different sources. The first source was a traditionalist, called Agya Owusu. He went to JOB’s Accra office to seek audience and explained what he had seen in the spirit realm concerning the burial ceremony of JOB. Agya Owusu had never seen or met JOB until that day.
The second confirmation was the most awesome. The prophet Agyeman Badu, who had met Job once at the international bible worship centre in Accra, jumped into Job’s sister Nana Akua at the entrance of a church auditorium, London. Even though they had never met before and the Holy Spirit directed him to enquire of JOB from her. Later my sister was very excited about the encounter sent the Prophet’s telephone number to her brother Job in Accra .through telephone conversation the Prophet confirmed what the Lord had revealed in Kumasi earlier.

Effect of the Revelations
Even though I had experienced similar act of deliverance by God before, the 1998 incidence of total exposure of the enemy’s evil plan against me, compelled me into total consciousness of God’s Amazing Grace. In 1986 a 12 year old JSS pupil was sent by God to travel from a town in Brong Ahafo Region to meet and pray with me in Accra. Even though we had never met before, the Holy Spirit revealed me to him and showed him where he should stand and wait for me. As I drove from my private car rental office to visit my kids at Asylum down home late that afternoon, he waved at me to stop. It was impossible to have ignored him the manner he positioned himself to stop me in the middle of traffic. He walked to me and announced his mission; that the Lord had instructed him to come and pray with me. I gave him my hands; he said his prayers and was set to travel back to his hometown. I asked how he could identify me and he explained that one afternoon as he walked home with his school mates from school ,the Lord revealed me to him. He confessed that he told his father what he had seen, and the father he gave him transport fare to travel over 400km to Accra to deliver God’s message.

The 1998 revelations, coming about 12 years after the first strange encounter with the angel of God, the school boy changed my perception of God. The Apostolic Church stood in prayer for me after they received revelation about me.

The amazing experiences gave birth to a fellowship.
Awesome Grace Network

My understanding of how God uses total strangers to deliver His chosen sons from danger, irrespective of their locations, informed me to set up a fellowship to be called Amazing Grace Network Fellowship. Since my redemption was manifested in the physical at an organized fellowship service in Tafo, Kumasi, I felt obliged to hold similar biweekly prayer vigil at my residence in Accra to create opportunity for other people to benefit from God’s awesomeness the way He had delivered me from premature death.

The fellowship meetings were held in sitting room every two weeks starting with five people. The number increased quickly and by the sixth month the meeting frequency changed from twice monthly to once each week. From Amazing to Awesome.
By prophetic utterance the name was changed from Amazing Grace to Awesome Grace. God declared at one of our night vigils that He is Awesome, and that we should use the name “Awesome”. Interestingly I had tried that same week to register the name” Amazing Grace” without success because the name already existed. Consequently the new name Awesome Grace Network was presented and cleared for registration in August 2001.
